Since starting on Sunday, I have been biking around 40 miles a day. Most of it is at a slow pace, so not much cardio. he bike I have is not ideal for sitting on all day, and my bottem is quite sore after a few hours.

Day one I biked around 45 miles.

So the table arrived late last week, and as of today I put my plan into action.

Starting weight 238lb.

So the idea behind Recumbent work bike is fairly simple and straight forward. It is based on the concept that to lose weight you need to expend more calories than you eat. To do that even with an hour a day workout is very hard, (especially based on how much this guy eats...) but what if you could constantly be burning calories even while you sit by your desk working? My hypothesis is that it would drastically affect your weight.

For the past few years I have been steadily gaining weight I am now in the 240lb range. My idea is, that if I could exercise the entire day while I sit by my computer, then even if it's an easy workout, the time should count for something.

So I bought a recumbent exercise bike. I can sit on it instead of my computer chair and pedal my days away, while still hard at work. To make it more exciting, I decided to post my progress starting with this post.

As of this inaugural post, my bike is here, assembled, and seems to be in working order. Now I just need to buy a table high enough to reach over my knees while I pedal.
